How to Drain the Water from the Patio Umbrella Water Tank Base?

2024-05-17

When the patio umbrella needs to be stored with the base, we need to drain the water in the umbrella water tank base. The following is the specific operation process:

1.Fold the umbrella: First, fold the umbrella, and then place the umbrella vertically to facilitate the subsequent operation of the base.

2.Find the drainage hole: Find the drainage hole on the side or bottom of the base. Some bases also have a drainage plug.

3.Tilt the base: Tilt the base to one side of the drainage hole to let the accumulated water flow out naturally. If the base has a drainage plug, gently unscrew it for smoother drainage.

4.Tilt again: When the water on one side is basically drained, tilt the base to the other side to ensure that the accumulated water in the base is completely drained.

5.Dry the base: Use a dry cloth or paper towel to wipe the inside and outside of the umbrella water tank base to ensure that there is no residual water to prevent rust or bacterial growth.

When maintaining the patio umbrella water tank base on a daily basis, you also need to pay attention to the following points:

1.Stabilize the center of gravity: Before draining, make sure the center of gravity of the base is stable to prevent it from tilting or collapsing and ensure safety.

2.Clean the drain hole: The drain hole or drain plug may be blocked by debris in the base. It is recommended to clean it regularly to ensure smooth drainage.

3.Clean regularly: The accumulated water in the base may breed bacteria. It is recommended to empty the water in the umbrella water tank base every once in a while and clean it with disinfectant to keep the base clean and hygienic.
